pool pavilion

This small pool pavilion designed with Tim Hungerford and in collaboration with Oculus while working in the office of Hungerford+Edmunds is part of The New Rouse Hill, a project being delivered as a joint venture between Lend Lease and the GPT Group, in active partnership with Landcom and the NSW Department of Planning. The play of light and textures was created by slices cast into the concrete wall, a textured pattern set into the glass roof and a pattern laser cut into corten steel. The shadows and patterns were taken from shadows cast by the gabion walls surrounding the site and were designed to make a fun and playful space for residents.
